Building up from canonical experiments
Looking forward to the first results of our Bunsen and counterflow burners to characterize natural gas/hydrogen flames.

Correctly characterizing methane/hydrogen blends seems to be capital to progressively bring hydrogen to our daily activities, such as cooking our favorite meal. We aim to contribute by:
- Analyzing Bunsen flames to measure flame speeds, analyze their topology and control their stability. María will spearhead this research during her MSc Thesis.
- Counterflow flames can also provide information of interest. We want to film how the cell formation on the almost planar flame changes when we include tiny (or big, who knows) amounts of hydrogen. Zeyad will take care of this part to fulfill his BSc studies.
